Nothing happening here......
I was looking for a photo of these pieces on my design wall to send to someone and couldn't find one so I took one. I had cut the equilateral triangles about a year ago from the Liberty prints recolored by Kaffe Fassett. I also cut solid black. I have a bunch of black/charcoal prints that I may try as alternates with the solid black. I worked on garage sale related things all day yesterday and didn't sew a thing. Last night I went over the list of my quilt tops waiting for borders and/or quilting and decided which ones I will work on over the next few weeks.
I love this quilt! Simple yet it looks more complex. That is one of my favorite things about quilting designs.
ReplyDeleteDid you use your Studio Cutter for the triangles?
ReplyDeleteOops silly me. Forgot yesterday's post. I do love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great look. What size are the triangles?
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt too. It's always good to clear out the house a bit.
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason... the first thought I had was the BLACK gives the other fabrics a 'Royalty'. Is that a description or not. (*._,*) Really like the solid black.

Great use of the fabrics. It is very dramatic.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the places where you used the dark prints as alternates...I'd be interested to see it without the solid black.
ReplyDeleteWould be curious to see the print black as opposed to the black black but there have been a couple of quilt where I didn't see your vision and theyhave all been wonderful-every single one! I am also curious as to your process. Do you blast out a certain number of tops and then go back and finish? Is there a reason for that as far as time management or do you like the design process better and don't want to do the rest until you have to? i am having a curious morning here in Cali:)
ReplyDeleteit makes me think of origami cranes!
ReplyDeleteI like it! Another great idea. Thanks, Wanda, you're the best!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, to use the black triangles to make it look like ric-rac.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. Would like to see the solid black replaced with charcoal or black print.
ReplyDeleteLove the brights with the black!
ReplyDeleteWe all sure voiced our opinions today didn't we? Isn't it funny how everyone sees a piece from a different perspective.
