My green scraps weren't long enough for the next rounds on the sunshine/rainbow piece so I pulled candidates off the shelves of my stash. I didn't consider any batiks this time.
Then I pinned them up on the wall where I thought they might go and took a photo of them.
I imported the photo into my computer and used the software that came with my Canon camera to crop the yardage so I was just seeing strips. I may reconsider on a couple of the really dark greens and then I'll start cutting.
In my front garden everything is growing together. The balloon flowers started out about 18" away from this Husker Red Penstemon. The Evening Primrose just travels underground everywhere so some of that is in there as well as the Coral Bell plant reaching out to the sides. I hesitate to dig it all up and try to untangle it. Balloon flowers don't like to be transplanted according the my perennial book. They do however reseed wherever they want.
I really like the greens against the blue. I didn't notice if I got software with my Canon. I use Picasso. I have a balloon flower but its in a hard to grow area. It came back but small.
I'll be! Sometimes if I didn't read blogs, I would be clueless. I just bought a nicer Canon and didn't even pay attention to the software that came in the box. Maybe I should look at it...?
Those bright greens are going to really pop! I need to go out and sort the lilies of the valley from my Lenten roses. The lilies of the valley are starting to take over. I needs a bunch of them to replant that wooded area I have been working on in the backyard so I will transplant them where I want them to take over. Seems like there is always something to do in the yard!
I loved the blue fabrics you added in your last post. The greens look wonderful, too. I look forward to seeing what you chose. Enjoying watching this one come together!
Thank, Wanda, for identifying the pretty perennial I planted last year in my back yard without noting its name: Husker Red Penstemon! I had even taken a picture of it to the nearest nursery, where they told me it was lobelia.

Wanda, looking from a distance, this is so like the firebox, when we were camping, and the darker green, going to lime, lovely, I can imagine the trees ouside the shelter,this is one more of you super colour combinations. Greetings from Jean.
My Balloon flowers didn't come up this year. So my choices of color are thinning out. Really like the greens with your center combo. Chris
