I got all of the flannels pressed for the Rattlesnake quilt but I decided to make the easy quilt first. I had already cut this one Monday night so I sewed the first stage of the 20 blocks last night while I watched TV. Now I need to make stacks of 4 to do the slashing and then shuffle and sew the blocks. I am going to have to brush up on my paper piecing for the other quilt since I haven't done it for a long time.
Love the star flannel on the top block! I haven't paper pieced in a long time and mostly I did mini blocks that I turned into ornaments. I think paper piecing it not hard - just repetitive. I think it would be a good activity when you mentally wanted to zone out.
"Easy One" maybe easy, but knowing you, after you slash them, stitch them, they will look extraordinary ! I can see the edges of your stack has some great looking fabrics.
By the time I am writing this, you will be back into the swing of paper piecing again. I know you have a photographic memory.
I seem to remember buying that rattlesnake pattern years and years ago! I remember it was the bold colors that caught my attention. I wonder where that pattern is now...
Looks interesting. Paper piecing and me don't work well. But I know you can do it. Chris

ReplyDeleteI love the paper piecing and can't wait to see yours. The flannels look so cozy!
ReplyDeleteThey do look cozy. So soft to the touch.
ReplyDeleteOur quilt shop keeps saying it helps to be dyslexic when paper piecing, but I think it makes it harder!
