This is the backing fabric I chose for the Christmas quilt. I bought it on sale last year. It was cold and rainy yesterday so it was a perfect day to do the quilting.
The quilt top was 50" wide so I had to piece the backing. I also had some triangles left over plus a piece of the first border fabric so I made a zig zag strip to insert. It reminds me of a Slinky toy stretched out.

The backing fabric is really neat and I love the zig zag bit! Will you be snuggling under this quilt?

I love how the backing turned out. It makes the quilt reversible since it is so cute.
Love your post today, will look forward to seeing your completed Christmas quilt. Such fun backing fabric, plus your 'slinky insert', paisley binding, all stitched together to make another fabulous festive Christmas quilt.
