I had to clean off a cutting table to finally get the borders cut for the Christmas quilt. I think I might go ahead and quilt it today. It would feel good to have at least one finish for this month.
This is another quilt I have hung in my dining room. It looks crooked in the photo but that is the camera distortion. This is by the doorway to my kitchen and is the accent wall with the darker color paint. I have 2 more walls that I want to hang quilts on but both quilts need to be quilted first. It is nice to have 6 walls in this L shaped room. Since I only have blinds on the windows, the quilts help to absorb sound the way that draperies do; no echoing in this room.
Second quilt is gorgeous and looks beautiful against that paint color!
ReplyDeleteI love that one on the wall, it really looks great. Sometimes no matter how straight you hang a quilt it will look slightly off centered - mine do the same thing. Cameras are odd creatures :)
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas quilt looks wonderful. I love the different fabrics in the border, they work so well with everything. Fabulous as always.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteThe second one looks like a celebration of the Big Blue Marble. Fascinating.
Fabulous! You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts look fabulous! I love the Strips and Curves quilt on the wall. It looks great with the color that you painted.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those look great.
ReplyDeleteI love the one on the wall, it looks like an abstract painting.
Fabulous! Love the Christmas quilt. The one on the wall looks stunning.

ReplyDeleteLove the recently hung quilt.
I love your Christmas quilt! NICE creative touch with the borders.
ReplyDeleteThe art quilt hanging on the wall is stunning. Wow.
It is nice to have plenty of wall space to hang your quilts. They are both very pretty. I know some of mine look skewed, too, and I blame the camera!
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas quilt. It will actually be done in time for Christmas. That is sweet.
ReplyDeleteThey are both great but I really love the second one against that color wall!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt looks like it might be called, "Christmas Festival." Love it !
ReplyDeleteAnd OMG Wanda, I want to set down in that chair and soak up the beauty of that quilt it is perfect for that wall, you have turned your living/dining area into a wonderful quilt art gallery.

I love that quilt by your kitchen door. I imagine they do soak up noise. I have one place where the wall is big enough and I hang a christmas quilt up this year. I like it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that quilt, perfect with your paint color! Christmas quilt turned out nice, I like the variety in the borders.
ReplyDeleteWanda, they are both beautiful! I had to start cutting a Christmas quilt last night. I had to. You know how it is. No clue what it will look like yet, but I'll find out along the way. I hadn't thought about quilts deadening noise. Another good reason to hang more!
ReplyDeletethe quilt hung on the wall looks great with the paint and furnishing. It does much more than just soundproof but that;s a nice bonus
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas-time quilt is lively, for certain, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteThe newly hung quilt certainly does compliment your couch. Makes me want to hang a few of mine. Especially with cold weather fast approaching.
Positive Thoughts and hugs
