Family left to go visit my dad so I used the time to start some red mug rugs. The next show at Ciel Gallery in Charlotte NC is called "Red" and my daughter said they would like some mug rugs for it. I have the light from the window coming in from the right and it shows the quilting on the top 2 really nicely but the prints don't show up. I pieced the bottom 2 on the batting and backing so they were quilted as I pieced.
While my daughter made 2 pies and I was listening for the dryer to stop I pieced 2 mug rugs with Christmas fabrics, again mostly red.
Love the red mug rugs, especially with the cardinal! I am going to sneak in a little sewing time this morning too before my family comes over later today. Enjoy your Saturday.
You certainly captured the beauty of RED ! Every one is a fun mini, mini quilt. Your double vision has had to improve with by the looks of those mug rugs. They are absolutely stunning.
Hope your family day is full of treasured memories.
It is so great to see that you are able to get back to your quilting again since I know what an integral part of your life that is. I know that if I can't quilt for several days I feel at a loss. Cheers to you!
Love, love, love RED!!! Mug Rugs, that is what I was going to make for gifts. Must get to them soon. Thankfully they are small and easy to make. They make a great gift.
You have an attractive group of grandchildren. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
