More red.......

My company left at 6 a.m. yesterday morning.  I did 3 loads of laundry and then started working on more mug rugs.  I didn't feel like doing binding so I'll tackle that today.
One of the things I wanted help with was hanging some wall decor on my freshly painted walls.  My son in law did the hammering and my daughter and I worked on the arrangement.  My daughter made the mosaic mirror frame and she gave me the layered glass art by Pat Mitchell for Mother's Day.  The hydrangeas are from a friend's hydrangea tree a year ago.  The bouquets usually stay nice for a couple years.  They look so  much better against the lavender than they did against taupe.

  5. I love the hydrangeas! The flowers are real? And they stay for up to 2 years? What is the secret?

  8. you are lucky to have a dried arrangement last so long - when we lived in the deserts of Idaho I had dried flowers do that but here in the humidity of Arkansas I never have one last long at all.
    The wall looks beautiful.

  10. More wonderful RED mug rugs!!
Beautiful art pieces by your daughter and Pat. Everything you place in the lavender room shows that you chose a good wall color.

  11. The best part about dried hydrangias is that they need no watering....for years. Just traded out a set of my own for a new set from our tree. Happy post-Thanksgiving!

  12. Hope the double vision has cleared up. The mug rugs are great! I didn't have an edible arrangement, but the grocery had pineapples for $1.99 so I cut mine up after having it a week and goodness it is sweet. Don't you just love fresh pineapple? (I am smiling right now!)

  16. I am so taken by your red mug rugs, they just make me smile. As well as your new wall display. And Pat Mitchell's mosaic's remind me of your work only in glass, I can see why you love them.

  19. Your new room color looks great with the hydrangeas. Very stylish. I am in love with your red mug rugs. I struggle with how big a mug rug should be. I don't want it to look like a pot holder. The one and only one I ever made, so far, is a square with four 5" pieces of material - room for a coffee mug and three cookies. :)
