Yesterday was an unusually warm day, mid 60s so I got the wheelbarrow out and took 4 trips with my porch and garage pots to the back garden and dumped them. I have the pots drying out in the garage and I'll stack them today for storage for the winter. Then I took off 2 screens and put on the storm windows. I haven't brought the hose reels in yet though. Last night I changed these flannel blocks over to the on point setting like the diagram I showed a couple days ago. I need to choose a fabric for setting triangles and I think it will get at least one border. I see a couple squares I want to move to a different position now that I see it on the computer.
I like the warm browns of this one. cozy looking
ReplyDeleteMy pots were all dumped long ago as things are starting to freeze here.
ReplyDeleteNow is when I need to get out and wrap or tie up a few things.
It's definitely the time for flannel quilts.
Love the warm colors. Yesterday was a treeat with the weather.
ReplyDeleteLooks cozy to me. We are due for a big change in weather today. Glad you were able to go out and get that done. Chris
ReplyDeletethose colors are a bit different than your normal colors you chose! We might get to freezing this week a couple nights but wouldn't be surprised if it misses us. We are going to be getting rain today though, I'm not sure once again when we got it last - we are still much lower in moisture than we should be.
ReplyDeleteThis is very cozy! I love the mixture of warm and cool colours. It is much more alive looking on point. Our weather seems to follow yours by a day, so we are getting temperatures in the mid sixties today, perfect for finishing a few odds and ends outside!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a fun day of work outside. I saw that you were getting the nice warm weather ahead of a moving cold front.
ReplyDeleteSome thing in the deep reds for the setting triangles?
ReplyDeleteGetting ready for the rain and snow that's predicted for overnight tonight.
I'll spend this afternoon knitting a hooded scarf for DD#2
love and hugs
Love the way you arranged the blocks on point. Brings out the beauty in each block.
ReplyDeleteI am envious of your nice weather, glad you were able to get more fall clean up complete. 6" of snow and a high of 22 degrees, here. But supposed to warm up into the 40's in a couple days... I hope, I hope.

This is going to be so comfy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this photo. I've been thinking about making a Christmas quilt along these lines to use up scraps but could not picture how it would look if the one patch blocks didn't all match. You answered my question - it looks great!
