There hasn't been any actual voting at my show but this is the quilt (Square Dance) that everyone comments on. It has been a favorite of both men and women. Most of them talk about the depth created by the pattern. It is SO much prettier in person than in a photo.
well it is such a beauty for sure! I'm sure it must be nice to hear people talking of what they like best or why they like it - you learn that they see what you did or maybe you see your own work in a totally different way after hearing comments. Karen
I love that one too! In fact, I even started a few blocks that are very similar to yours called, 'Cabin Tracks'. I found the quilt in a 2003 Better Homes and Gardens magazine. I had to put it away because they were too work-intensive and I don't have much time right now. But hearing that your visitors like it may make me go back to it.
That quilt has always commanded my attention from the very first... wish I was close enough to see it in person, it must be spectacular! It appears as if it could be a portal to another dimension! Kat
It really IS a gorgeous quilt, even on the computer screen. I'm not at all surprised it's gathering a lot of attention. My only surprise is that anyone could pick just one!
This quilts looks even more 3D in person than it does in the photograph. All your quilts were awesome. Seeing the cobblestones series displayed on the wall together was wonderful. I can'r really say I have a favorite. Every quilt was awesome. I I had to chose one, I think the large colorwash on the wall closest to the street was perhaps the most awesome.
I truly can understand why!

ReplyDeleteThere were so many that were my favorites. I would hate to have selected just one. Your work is amazing and you remain such an inspiration for me.
ReplyDeleteI love this one, but my favorite is the one with the cross.
ReplyDeleteThat one is my favorite too and, you are right, it's much prettier in person.
ReplyDeleteWELL ~ IT is GORGEOUS on my screen... and I know from seeing your creations in person also, that the real thing always takes my breath away.
