Prismatic Garden 13 portrait......

I finished the last side of the binding and sewed down the hanging sleeve last night on Prismatic Garden 13.  This has been my best selling series over the years.  I will have 3 from the series in my show in NC.
I was hoping I would have time to finish this newest colorwash for the show too.  Since I changed my shipping date from Thursday to Monday I put the extra days to good use.  I got it quilted last night.  Today I hope I find a binding I like right away.  I have embroidery club in the afternoon and computer club tonight so I need to get a lot done in the morning.  I made 3 more mug rugs with African fabric but didn't get their bindings done.  I will show them tomorrow.

  7. I really like the way you photographed your quilt on the work table. That is a really good angle. Please forgive me if I use the same idea in a future photo the next time I am nearly finished.

  13. OT - As I roam around blogland, I so appreciate how fast your blog loads, no matter how many pics you have on it. I wish others would do the same. So thx for that.

    How's your tooth?

  14. Love both quilts! I wish I were closer for the show as I would totally be there:) I know it will be a fun one! How did you make the Prismatic Garden 13? Do you have other examples on your website and what size are the complete blocks and the individual triangles? Thanks!

  15. I can see why this would be such a popular quilt - just beautiful! And you are a commando, finishing up the newest colourwash, which, by the way, is really lovely too. It's amazing what we can do when there is a deadline looming and you are right to take advantage of the fact that you have the show coming. As a fellow I know once said, "You can't sell from an empty wagon". It looks like you will be in great shape for the show.

  18. Prismatic Garden ~ is exactly like it's name. Just lovely !

You will leave N.C. spinning on their heels ! Your show will touch every one that walks in the door. And with your classes along with the show I am sure they will not want you to leave.

  19. I may just be able to see your show. We will be going to Blowing Rock, NC the end of June. We will be spending the night in Gastonia on June 25 so I can spent $$ at Mary Jo's and, if I run out of money in time, we could run over to Charlotte before heading back to Gastonia and on to Blowing Rock. I hope I get a chance to see your work in person!!!

  26. oh that prismatic garden is soo gorgeous!! all your work is inspiring, but these color wash quilts are really making me want to try it. I've got an okay batik stash... but not sure if I have enough variety to do a colorwash quilt properly. Oh well, I guess I'll have to buy more fabric! ;)

  27. You have so many beautiful things to show! And I love the Prismatic Garden. I'd missed seeing that series, so I checked it out on your side bar, and I'm going to add that to my list of quilts that I'll never get done in this lifetime, but I'll die trying! Have a wonderful time at the show. :-)
