To prepare for my show and tell today with the art quilters I put the 7 finished Crooked Cobblestones on one double design wall. They are left to right starting with the top row, #1, #5, #3 and the bottom row, #7, #8, #9, and #2. The cross is #4 and is basted. I have #6 and #10 ready to layer and baste.
The first red (and white) cacti bloom is fully opened now. I know it looks just like the last 5 or 6 I have shown, but I have to take a photo of each.
I assume you will be selling some of these Cobblestones at your show ? I am sure they will not be traveling home with you if so. So pretty ... Speaking of pretty, your cacti blossom is right in there too.
Your quilts AND your flowers are beautiful! We're having hot weather here in NE OK, too. Everything has bloomed early. I dread another summner like last. I really enjoy reading your blog!
Wow! You have to have the absolutely perfect setting for the cactus--to get so many to bloom so long and so often. It's great to see them--especially since my last one died several years ago!
All the Crooked Cobblestones look fantastic!! I adore how the centers just glow!
ReplyDeleteWhat an accomplishment! They seem to glow, no wonder you teach color and value!
ReplyDeleteSuch a visual treat for us to see them together. The only thing better would be if we could see them in person.
ReplyDeleteI love the cobblestones displayed together...they look great!
ReplyDeleteMy blooms are all gone. :(
it is fun to see all of one's "children" together.

This is an awesome series of quilts. I could look at them all day.
ReplyDeleteOh, Wanda, seeing them all up there together is almost like seeing stained glass windows into another world. They are so, so very pretty!
