I did lots of things yesterday, necessary things: shopping for household supplies, taking down 3 storm windows and putting up the screens, paying bills. Then I started cutting the batting for the next 2 quilts. They will be numbers 7 & 8 of 14 to finish by mid-May.
This one looks so washed out under the fluorescent lights. It really has more personality. I pieced the backing for this one too. I only needed to add a little bit as the quilt is almost 45" square and the fabric is 44" so I think the seam will hide under the hanging sleeve.
While looking for a backing I saw this batik in the pile. I think I need to cut into it soon.
I, too, prefer to play -- but, when I buckle down and take care of the necessary stuff, it makes playtime feel SO much better (fewer things nagging in the background).
Love watching your work your way through this personal challenge to finish fourteen projects!
Wanda, you never waste a minute in your days, even when you have a migraine. I have been enjoying watching 'the journey' you are on finishing your creations for your show in June.
Feels to good to finish up doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love to hear how busy you stay. I worry that when I retire in a few years I will be lazy. You are my inspiration.
