Just quilting........

There is no glamorous new project, just plodding away quilting the cobblestone cross quilt.  I think I have about a third of it done.  I'm alternating working on this, cutting kits for an April class, preparing the program I'm doing for the local quilt guild, and doing a little yard work. I can never get bored with that many things to do.   The man who is putting in my new boiler next week came to measure the house and the windows to make sure he has the right size boiler for the square footage.

  1. I agree, having many different things to do, you will never get bored. We just had our boiler looked at yesterday, the motor was tripping the breaker. But all is fixed. I can't imagine getting a new one at this point.

  4. Never getting bored is what keeps us aging well, doesn't? some better than others (I'm talking about me, not so well).
These quilting endeavors give us a reason to get up every day. It brings us together with friends too.

  9. Looking great! Love these quilts.

When I am at work I see a lot of people who sit and talk to me because they are so bored or lonely. I am with you, there is so much to do I can not ever imagine being bored, thank goodness.

  10. Nor am I ever bored, and I think that's a good thing. There are always so many things in the world that one can be doing, there is really no excuse to be bored. And YOU always find such interesting things to be doing!

  12. For some reason your blogs are not coming through daily like they used to. Today I had 3-4 new ones. Today I cut lilacs for the house and they usually bloom in May I think. Everything is so early this year. We should have a very long growing season because of it. I see that you have been really busy. I am working on the embroidery of my Christmas quilt and tomorrow will be making 20 napkins for a friend. Thank God for a serger. One thing good about the early summer is the furnace is not on and the gas comsumption will be low and we will have cheaper bills.

It is so pretty driving around to see all the trees in bloom. My crabapples will be blooming in the next few days. They are filled with buds.
