I have a wedding shower to go to today. I went to her registry and it looks like her kitchen is red, or at least has red accents so I made a table runner and 2 mug rugs. I hope she likes them. I have a red kitchen. I wonder why I don't make something like this for myself.
Oh, I just realized that the fabrics you used are not "batiks". You DO have other fabric. Mmmmmmmmm "Very Interesting" - that's a line from Laugh In LOL.
Wonderful gifts and I had to laugh at your remark about why you don't have something like this! Next time make 2 of each....one for a gift and one for you!
I know just what you mean. I cringe in shame every time I use my hideous, grungy potholders, and I think, I could make such nice ones for myself to replace these. But, I never get around to it; even though I often make potholders as gifts for others. As they say "The cobblers children have no shoes"!
Those are great gifts, Wanda. And because they are made by you they are even better and you KNOW she won't get duplicates. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are cute. She should like them. Chris
ReplyDeleteNow that you've noticed it must be time to make something for you!
ReplyDeleteWonderful gifts! I'm sure she will love them!
ReplyDeleteI often wonder why I don't make things for myself too...maybe we need to set a date and just do it! A retreat or just a "make it for me" weekend!
Wonderful gifts. I have red accents in my kitchen. Usually I have a red color quilt on the table. Really adds color and charm to the room.

ReplyDeleteThose are perfect! Isn't it funny how we do that...put off doing for ourselves...for our home.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will be loved> I like the colors and the patterns.
ReplyDeleteWonderful gifts
ReplyDeleteA gift made by the hands of a friend is the best ever. Those are great fabrics...what are they? Are they vintage?
ReplyDeleteI LIKE them, and yes - you should make some for yourself. (And for me, too, if you're just in a making mood. LOL)

ReplyDeleteYou find such fun fabrics... She will love a the 'table set' made by you.

She will love this and the fabric is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCute! You'd enjoy using them if you invested in the small amount of time it would take to do a second set of these. :)
ReplyDeleteA great shower gift!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great idea! I love the fabric - great colors and patterns.
