Gifts.......

I have a wedding shower to go to today.  I went to her registry and it looks like her kitchen is red, or at least has red accents so I made a table runner and 2 mug rugs.  I hope she likes them.  I have a red kitchen.  I wonder why I don't make something like this for myself.

  1. Those are great gifts, Wanda. And because they are made by you they are even better and you KNOW she won't get duplicates. :-)

  4. Wonderful gifts! I'm sure she will love them!

I often wonder why I don't make things for myself too...maybe we need to set a date and just do it! A retreat or just a "make it for me" weekend!

  5. Wonderful gifts. I have red accents in my kitchen. Usually I have a red color quilt on the table. Really adds color and charm to the room.

  6. Oh, I just realized that the fabrics you used are not "batiks". You DO have other fabric. Mmmmmmmmm "Very Interesting" - that's a line from Laugh In LOL.

  7. Those are perfect! Isn't it funny how we do that...put off doing for ourselves...for our home.

  9. A gift made by the hands of a friend is the best ever. Those are great fabrics...what are they? Are they vintage?

  10. I LIKE them, and yes - you should make some for yourself. (And for me, too, if you're just in a making mood. LOL)

  11. Wonderful gifts and I had to laugh at your remark about why you don't have something like this! Next time make 2 of each....one for a gift and one for you!

  14. Cute! You'd enjoy using them if you invested in the small amount of time it would take to do a second set of these. :)

  16. I know just what you mean. I cringe in shame every time I use my hideous, grungy potholders, and I think, I could make such nice ones for myself to replace these. But, I never get around to it; even though I often make potholders as gifts for others. As they say "The cobblers children have no shoes"!
