The fluorescent seems to pop out the darker ones, too. At least on my monitor there is more contrast in the artificial lighting. Either way, though, this is a mighty pretty quilt!
Such a colorful, beautiful quilt. No, finishes are not old news to me. At least I know someone who is finishing her quilts. You are really achieving your goal of eliminating those UFOs. Congratulations!
Great post! This really does show a difference. I hate to take photos of my quilts indoors, I think the lighting is so poor. I try to take them outside when the sun is out. They always look good.
isn't it funny how lighting affects fabric color, my fav would have to be the fluorescent light one. My camera has a light setting, I can switch between fluorescent, daylight, incandescent ... but sometimes my photos still come out all funny.
When I did sick floral arrangements for interior designers I would always make them take the flowers to the window so they could get the true color. I think that is why I don't like the new light bulbs as you don't get true color with them as with all florescent lighting. Although the quilt looks wonderful under both lights.
No wonder I like my quilts better during daylight!
ReplyDeleteit's amazing the difference lighting can make.
ReplyDeletegorgeous either way
Interesting, isn't it? Love the quilt, of course, in any light.
ReplyDeleteAnother creation embellished with all your straight stitching. Awesome to say the least.

Whichever lighting this is in, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing us what a difference lighting can make.
ReplyDeleteAn amazing difference but both equally attractive.

ReplyDeleteThe quilting looks awesome...I get better pix in daylight as well, but seems like I always want to take pix at night!
