It was a busy day yesterday, getting 5 pillowcases partially sewn for the church group, doing laundry and grocery shopping in the morning. After lunch was the sewing group with the going away party during it, and errands all the way home. When I got home I filled the bird feeders and did another load of laundry. I was too tired to stick with my quilting very long but I got 6 cross rows on this quilt. This is the one I had so much trouble with here. The really heavy denim seams wanted to poke up when I was quilting so I knew I couldn't do the cross rows very easily on the long arm. I'm doing them on my straight stitch Babylock machine. I'll just do a few rows every day until it is done.
Bulk is a problem with any kind of stitching. The quilting over bulk can be frustrating. Good luck with it. Chris
ReplyDeleteThose intersections can always cause problems. Remember slow and steady wins the race. I am sure it will be fabulous when it is done!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing! Always so busy and continuing the wonderful quilting and sewing. It's a joy to follow you every morning. You are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGod bless. Kalamazoo Sue
I think you achieve an amazing amount each day as it is!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you are quilting this, I'm sure it must be heavy moving it through your machine. Congrats for being the winner from yesterday at Fredas!
ReplyDeleteIt will defintely be worth it when you are finished. I love the quilting lines you are doing.
ReplyDeleteDo you 'bar tack' or back stitch at the end of each row ? I enlarge the photo and I could not see even a back stitch...
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be a time consuming project... I should say it would be for me... NOT YOU ~ Quilting that piece with your Baby Lock.

I can't say I envy you doing the quilting on the smaller machine, but we do what we have to, don't we? And yes, I agree with the others who say - You are amazing in the amount you get done. Any day of the week!
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration to me.
