I have a pile of corduroy scraps leftover that are big enough to cut squares from 3.5" to 8" or they could be used in the irregular shapes that they are. If anyone is interested in the pile I would just ask that you pay me back for the postage. They have all been washed.
This squirrel is barely tolerating the bunny eating under the same feeder. He already scared another bunny away.
Doesn't this bunny look like the Easter chocolate rabbits? He stood like that for the longest time. He is one of the skinny baby bunnies. By winter the bunnies are quite fat.
Even though I am only about 60 miles from Chicago we only got a little shower while they got 7+" of rain yesterday morning. Another storm rumbled through about 11 p.m. We still have high humidity but we did get a little cooling with the light showers the last 2 mornings.
Pouring rain right now. High wnds and the rain is blowing sideways. Looks like you made some progress. I need to get into mine and do the same.
ReplyDeleteI think we are all ready for cooler weather - we all know summertime is hotter than some of us like - but we don't expect it to stay higher than normal for the whole summer!!
ReplyDeleteI was taking photos of rabbits just the other day - I like the way this one is standing.

We got a good soaking with a big thunderstorm yesterday....and then we lost power for 4 hours!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the Seattle area, and we finally had a summer day yesterday and might have another one today. This has been a very cold, wet summer, even by Seattle standards. I'm very interested to see what you will be doing with the jeans, corduroy and homespuns!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to get motivated when it's hot like this. But I admire your ability to get something done. In this kind of weather I like to sit in the air conditioning and hand stich my little quilts. Not a lot of effort but lots of pleasure!
ReplyDeleteWow! How fun to see that great cutting! You GO girl. :) BTW, isn't weather wild & that darn squirrel is really pushy.
ReplyDeleteI had a bunny like that this week: what are they thinking just sitting up like that. Love the pile of fabrics. I made a queen jeans quilt for my DIL who wanted something really warm. Boy, she sure got it.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to see what you do with the jeans. I would like to make something cozy with them.
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me with how much you get done.
Wow you have been getting so much fabric processed into quilt pieces. It is amazing! I like your idea about using the textured courdoroy and denim. It would make and excellent parade and picnic quilt
ReplyDeleteWe've got hares all over the neighbourhood. But they are kept in check by my neighbours cat. Sad, but true.
ReplyDeleteLove the bunny photos. Our neighborhood has outdoor cats and a few feral kitties, so there are no bunnies to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWe had 30 minutes of rain last night - first time in weeks. But it did not cool off at all - every window was steamed over within minutes - MUGGY CITY outdoors. Humidity this morning is 87% ... I might actually be glad to see fall arrive this year even though it is my least favorite season . . .
Love the bunny! Can't wait to see what you do with the cordory and jeans fabric. We finally got a much needed rain last night and it is raining now, so glad to get it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your Studio cutter isn't collecting dust... not sure it ever could at your place!
ReplyDeleteLove wild bunnies... so cool you can get such great photos of them to share!
My, my, you just can't stop, can you? LOL
ReplyDeleteThere are no bunnies in my yard due to hawks and coyotes. I would like to give you some of the rain that I had yesterday. It rained during the night and also early morning. Yesterday I was trying to clean up a doll that I made for my daughter when she was little. I had made a whole wardrobe of clothing for it for Christmas one year. She has kept it all these years. I guess it was worth the hours it took me. Now it is going in my guest bedroom on display. Enjoy your day today.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous shot of the bunny!
ReplyDeleteWe got a thunderstorm this morning and the extreme heat alert has finally been lifted. We've sill got a heat alert, but it's nowhere near as bad as last week.
I can't wait to see what you do with the jeans, corduroy and homespun. I am putting the binding on a flannel plaids scrap quilt that I am making for my son. One side is bears paw, the other is a four patch variation. I would love to have your corduroy scraps if you still have them as I have started collecting corduroy for a scrap project next. Please let me know if they are still available and the postage amount.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Karen
