I spent more time outside yesterday than I normally do. I mowed the lawn and then cut down volunteer trees to be ready for the next brush pick up day. As long as I had mosquito repellent spray on I stayed out and pulled some weeds.
This is the display in front of my garage. Everything is really growing fast this year.
I usually have some red flowers but this year I went with all pink and purple.
Beautiful flowers, I know mine have been growing like crazy too. I think it is all the rain we've been getting. I guess this means today you get to sew!
Pretty flowers. Living in relatively the same area as you, I have the same weather causing flowers and weeds grow like crazy along with a powerful mosquitoe population.
I got a ton of petunia on clearance and am planting them in pots on the front deck. The rainy days keep me out of the garden far too many days to tend them properly by the pond.
Those pots look like you smoothly slid colors from some of your quilts to the outdoors. They're gorgeous. I was never a fan of lime and yellow-green till I started seeing how it livens up the look of a quilt. Love it with your purples and pinks.
The potted flowers are absolutely beautiful. I am jealous. At least the rain has been good for the flowers. My hundreds of zinnia's are growing fast also. I can't wait until they start blooming. I love to have cut flowers in the house and love their bright colors. Now that you are through weeding you have the practice to come do mine. LOL
VERY pretty, love your colors!
ReplyDeleteOhh so pretty. Color inside and color outside. :)
ReplyDeleteYour flower pots are lovely. Mine are too wet from all the rain and don't look so nice. I haven't had to water them at all. Crazy.
ReplyDeleteExuberant colors everywhere... so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose pinks and purples are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteTHe flowers would make a great fabric perfect for quilting.
ReplyDeleteI'm not fond of pink but I love pink flowers and that display is magnificent.

Thanks for sharing. The pots are beautiful! I usually use pink, blue and purple. This year I used a touch of red.

ReplyDeleteWow 6 quilts completed Wanda ! All bound so meticulously, and stacked like that they look like one of your beautiful blooming gardens. Speaking of...
Love your photo's of all your flowers... Looks like an English country garden to me. (NOT a wild and tangled as you mentioned).

p.s. I sympathize with you about your mosquitoes. They don't make it fun to go outside.
