My art quilters group came yesterday for a day of show and tell, many projects being worked on, 2 batches of cookies to eat.......
Last night I had to take advantage of the clean cutting table so I cut more pieces for some zippered bags.
On Sunday night a storm rolled through a little after 9 and my electricity was off for an hour and a half. It was a good thing I had prepared my post for yesterday earlier in the afternoon. I had 2 more photos to add and wasn't able to do it so here they are. I looked over at my neighbor's yard and there was a pair of mallard ducks.
I had a pair in my backyard one day last summer and hadn't seen them since. They must be pets of someone in the neighborhood.
A clean cutting table... that is a rarity in my studio. It seems that there is always something on it! Those ducks are so cute, a good rain will always bring them out.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos of the ducks!! I remember the summer we had a mallard duck nesting on the roof garden. It was a magical experience.
ReplyDeleteaww. I love ducks :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's a clean cutting board - lol! How fun to be able to watch the mallards :)
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had fun on all fronts, with getting your porch pots set to getting a little sewing time in.
We have ducks that walk in to our yard (they scrounge up the seed that has fallen from the feeders) and walk away really fast if I surprise them in the yard. We have a pond nearby that they fly in and out of all day. Do you have a little water near (creek, pond, ditch?) They're usually not too far from water.
Glad you survived the storms. I love when they come thru at 1 a.m. (not).

Love the ducks!
ReplyDeleteWhat does a clean cutting table look like? I haven't seen one in quite awhile.
ReplyDeleteI love the ducks. I have a pond in the back and there is a crane nesting there. The pond is full of frogs so there is always good food. LOL
