No sew zone.........

Yesterday was a day to crash and rejuvenate.  I had a busy week last week and I needed to catch up on my rest.  I did tackle sorting a few scraps out of my batik cut aways.  This bag is the size a bedspread comes in.

The pile grew as it relaxed and was shuffled around.  A friend shared some leftover triangle squares with me so I am sharing some batik scraps with her.  Now I will choose some out of this pile to create something too.

  5. sounds like a nice thing to do to relax and have time away from the sewing machine. I have not touched my sewing machine in about a week or more I guess, although I have been doing hand work.

  6. Wanda, is your sewing Studio in the basement, or is it upstairs? It looks huge...I'm so jealous...

  9. What a great scrap pile you have. Mine is quite small compared to yours. It is great to get a little organized every once in awhile but as soon as I do it seems that an idea will come into my head and the craziness starts again.

  10. I love digging through my bags of scraps! So much fun! One of my projects for my quilting day with a friend this coming Saturday is to start cutting down the scraps I've saved. The boxes are bursting at the seams! And let's not even talk about the multiple bags of strips and scraps that are stored in the closet. I think there are at least 4 the size of the one you showed in your post. Oy vey.

  11. What an exciting array of color and cloth. I have no doubt you will turn it all into something quite wonderful to behold.

  12. Hi Wanda,
The first pic of the bag of scraps looked smallish until you dumped it out!
Your sewing area looks well lit; what type of bulbs do you prefer?
