A few more batik blocks...
Last night I just sewed some more batik blocks from an ongoing project started in January. I cut the squares for the blocks as part of my clean up session last week. The strips were laying there waiting for me. I was too lazy to go down to the basement and take a photo of the rest of the blocks on a design wall. I was thinking of just putting in an alternating plain block with them so I may look for a fabric that will work for that today.

Nice work for an evening. The blocks look great, but I would love to see them all together on your design wall. Not that I want to put any pressure on you. Just when you go downstairs next time.
Love them! Sometimes I am also lazy like that. I was supposed to take photos yesterday too and never got around to it. But I love your progress.
This just reminds me, I haven't done anything in batiks in awhile. Oh, my -- I have too many WIPs, and cannot go off course today. Focus, focus, focus.
I can't wait to see the fabric you choose for the alternating blocks! These colors are all so pretty. How do you decide what to use with them?
I'm so amazed at how industrious you are in your quilt studio! Thank you for sharing your creativity. I feel I'm learning about colors/values/patterns from watching. Many bloggers I visit consider themselves Modern Quilters and their quilts have a certain character. Yours are unique, vibrant, exuberant! I really like that you include so many fabrics into each project.
Today's batik blocks are beautiful. I can't wait to see your choice for the alternating blocks.
Great blocks, Wanda. The plain squares alternating is a good idea.
