I pieced 2 more light sets and cut 3 groups of 2 into triangles. At this point I have decided to make extra groups in even more colors, like a brown group for sure. I can see I don't have enough variety pieced and cut yet to vary the colors in the diamonds. Pictured below are the rest of the groups ready to sew to make all 32 of the rectangles. I sew a dark group and a light group at the same time. That way I can't get mixed up which group I need to add the next piece to but can string piece to save time and thread.
Today is going to be a busy day with some things being moved out of my garage that I have been storing, lunch with a friend, and computer club tonight.

Nice looking quilt.
So you sew the strips into rectangles than cut across than put tpgether to form the design?
What size is the rectangle?
I love the way it looks.

Making good progress. The contrasts are really evident. Hopefully you have a great day. Chris
Love, love, love the progress!! Hope you have a wonderful day!
May you have:
A world of wishes at your command
God and his angels close at hand
Friends and family their love impart,
And Irish blessings in you heart.
Oh Wanda, this leaves me speechless. It really does. Listen, have a good day today and know I'm really really inspired by this. Thank you.
I really like the look of the diamond quilt - it gives me ideas for using up more of my small pieces, cutting them up into strips sewing them and then cut them up again. What a great idea for this quilt. Do you press your seams open or close on something like this?

Enjoy your lunch with your friend.

It's looking wonderful! I'm enjoying your daily progress reports on it and -again- am very impressed with just how much you get done each day!!
It looks so good, Wanda. I love all the colors you have added.
I can see the quilt is going to be so beautiful. What a great way to use of some of those extra pieces of fabric or fat quarters. I am anxious to see it completed.
This is such a beautiful quilt. I have been trying to use up scraps and this looks like a great way to use some.
I don't get how you do this!!!! You are amazing!
Love seeing the progress. Am even thinking of trying this out. Thank you for the inspiration, again!
You are so good at this. It's strikingly lovely. I do love the light and dark contrasts!
This is going to be one of those quilts that you just want to drink in for hours -- looking at all the fabrics in it!!! Stunning!
Those diamonds just keep getting prettier and prettier!
