L got her quilt top all sewn together at the class. She chose borders so she will have it done soon.
D made a lot of progress on her quilt since last week. It is a king size so the pieces are overlapped on the wall. I love the multicolor Trip Around the Worlds so I will have to do another of them soon. Let's see, that will mean I have 3 of them going at once. I have a lot of fabric to use up so that is a good thing. I bought the fabric to use, not to have in my estate sale.
beautiful and so much work!

Those quilts are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnd I laughed at your last sentence.
They are beautiful!! Yes, you must use up all your fabric!!
ReplyDeleteYour students quilts are beautiful. Great work girls.
ReplyDeleteOh yes Wnda, use up that fabric.
Your students have a good teacher. And I like what you have to say about using up the fabric and not saving it for the estate sale. I'll have to remember that and get busy with sewing of more quilts.

Beautiful work! I agree with your 'estate sale' comment. I'm working on my TAW!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors!
ReplyDeletettfn :) Yuki
Lets sew until there is no fabric left.
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean we need to quit buying new fabric.
Those ARE beautiful! And that's the problem, isn't it....I want to make everything I see.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing quilts!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the blue one, maybe when I get some of my other ones off my tableS to make room, maybe, just maybe I will start one of these, I have enough blue fabric for a few that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteI do love the colors in the king size one. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt tops and start another quilt top! Love your remark that you're not buying fabric to put in your estate sale, too funny.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts. Wanda, you are so funny. I know mine will end up in my estate sale!
ReplyDeleteThe quilts are so beautiful. I think it is interesting how time changes quilts. My mother who was born in 1907 made an "Around the World" quilt but instead of a single square in the center she used 5 or 6 squares in a solid color and the next row was that color but in a print and the next row was a solid and so on and so on. My daughter has that quilt and it has always been a favorite of mine. Her quilts were completely done by hand including the quilting.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilts, your talent is rubbing off on your students. I like what you said about an estate sale... I'm buying less and trying to use more of my stash!

I like your comment about using your fabric and not saving it for an estate sale...... am still laughing!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things is finding fabric and vintage fabric at sales, estate or not.
Have a great week!
"L" and "D" get an a + from me. Just gorgeous pieces of work.

Muy lindo, con esa buena profesora, todo sale bien.

That's a good line, 'not to have in my estate sale'! I'll have to make note of it. I'm sure it would apply equally well to some of my other things and not just fabric. You make me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have very lucky students. I hope they appreciate you.
Hi Wanda,
ReplyDeleteI bet your students are more than pleased with the quilt tops that are appearing! And all of yours look great. Love the close-up shot yesterday of the green one.
Enjoy the "warm" weather; I'm hoping some of the snow melts of the roof at the very least.
