Stratas....................

I sewed 2 of the stratas for my Trip Around the World.  I know it doesn't look so great right now, but it will when it is made into the pattern.

Here it is again after it has been sewn into a tube, and with one end folded over to see all of the fabrics.  I always make a little cheat sheet of the order of my fabrics.  I need to have one more strata sewn before Friday so I can show all of the steps of construction.

  3. The pieces that caught my eye are the ones on the right especially the cream and red that kind of look like fern or evergreen. I can't wait to see how those work in the quilt. I think they will add a lot as well as all your choices.

  14. Hi Wanda,
That trip around the world quilt is going to be gorgeous! I made one a few years ago, and they are trickier to do than they appear (I had to do some un-sewing at one point). It didn't help that my cats always like to help "arrange" things on my design floor.
Do you do the quilt in quarter sections, then put it together?
    Looking forward to your progress...
