555,555

My counter on sitemeter, visitors to date, will turn over 555,555 today.  I don't know if I'll be home to check where the person is from since it only shows the last 100 at any time.
Here is my bag packed for church sewing circle this afternoon.  We are still working on pillowcases and there are 19 at various stages of construction in the bag.  We had a snow day in Dec. so I sewed on them at home for the same number of hours it would have taken me to drive 23 miles to church, sew for 2 hours and drive home.

It sounds like the south is getting pounded with the snow storm this time.  We may get 3-4" on Tuesday depending on how the storm tracks.  I'll fill the bird feeders this afternoon so I don't have to put on boots tomorrow.

  1. Caling for 2-4 inches here. I am going to stay in and slice up some more scraps. The pillowcase idea is really taking over in the US. Noticed more about it on TV as of late. Have fun today. Chris

  3. Wowzers on the count! I will hit 10,000 today. I am excited about it. And yes, we got pounded here in Atlanta. The snow is taller than my Maltese dogs. I had to use the southern snow shovel (a.k.a. dustpan) to make them a path to the yard. They had to fend for themselves from there on. Karmen

  4. here in North Central Arkansas we did not get a lot of snow - but south Arkansas on the other hand got more than 6 inches I heard. I'm glad most of it missed us!
    Have fun at your group.

  5. Congratulations on the 5's!!

We got a little snow here in DC on Saturday but not enough to get excited about... I won't complain.

Have fun with your sewing group today! Soon I'll be able to take on more projects but I have too much to finish up right now.

today's secret word is "redinat" - as in "Her shoes were redinat dress was purple!"

  6. I'm not 555,555! Looks like you have been busy getting quilts ready to quilt. I love the quilt in the previous post, with the stacked and cut off kilter blocks. Is there a special ruler for that so that they all turn out the same?

Have fun with your friends making pillowcases!

  15. Wow 555,555 views! That is very impressive Wanda. I've learned so much from reading your blog, as I'm sure have all those other readers. Reading about the weather in the US from the comments, makes me realise that the weather is crazy in lots of places. In Queensland, Australia where I live we are battling enormous floods at the moment and my city is expected to start flooding in the inner city today...We live on a hill and out in the suburbs, thank goodness.

  16. It is so nice of your Church group to make pillow cases that will give some happiness to those that really need a helping hand. Your stash in the photo looks like a happy group of pillow cases.

    I hope I am your 555,555 viewer . (*._,*)

  18. I find that I really prefer to sew at home. I really hate to pack everything up, haul it somewhere, unpack, sew for a short time, pack it back up again, haul it home and then unpack it. This really seems like a waste of time to me. I think I am getting a little hermit like.
