This and that............
I decided to put all of the triangle blocks up on the design wall so I can decide what colors I need to finish this. If I make 6 more blocks it will finish at 48" x 72". I think it needs another row beyond that to finish at 56" x 72" so that is 15 more blocks, 5 more combinations of 2 fabrics. Just thinking outloud here.............
I finished the binding on this one on Thursday so it is ready to pack up and ship.
I needed some play time so I got out the box of triangles cut from batiks and Westminster fabrics, Kaffe and Philip Jacob. I was testing to make sure they work well together before I do some more cutting. I'm not sure what layout I will do, just playing right now................
My daily visitor. He is such a bright spot in my day.
Wanda...the green quilt is simply marvelous! CQMadhatter
ReplyDeleteAs always, it's a pleasure to be allowed a glimpse of your 'play time' projects! The top piece is dreamy and makes me want to reach for my batik bucket! Like yourself, I have such affection for the cardinals.
ReplyDeleteCooler weather makes me want to get more of a start in the sewing room. You haven't ever stopped. The progress you are making make s me ashamed of myself. We started on dividing plants so I am obligated to that today, but maybe this evening.Chris
ReplyDeleteLove those triangle blocks and the green quilt is great too!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for sharing the picture of your visitor. He's stunning.
I love everything! The triangle blocks are especially pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are so lovely. It makes my heart sing to visit your blog Wanda.
ReplyDeleteI always love them all but I really like the 3rd photo with the large triangles - they look large in the photo but of course maybe they aren't. I like the lay out of the lights and darks in this one.
ReplyDeleteThe birds have found their way back to the feeder and I have to fill it back up this morning.

Good morning Wanda. I'm enjoying seeing the progression of this quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat size is the Alzheimer's quilt?
Thank you for another delightful post! Your sewing room is so productive...and all the projects are lovely! Even a darling cardinal to put the frosting on the cake! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts and design. What did you decide to do about the QOV layout?
ReplyDeleteWow...you are getting close to a finish on the big quilt. It will look great.
ReplyDeleteThe triangles look fabulous together. It is a great combination with the batiks.
Is that a female cardinal? We don't have them here.
Your post today gave me a jump start to get lots done today.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what color you will add to the triangle piece.
Alzheimer's quilt is so refreshing. Your donation will warm someones heart.
Play time triangles are as colorful as your cardinal... That lush green foliage framing him, with a spot light of sunshine right on him. Great photo.

ReplyDeleteI love watching you play! Your green quilt turned out great! Love your visitor. Can't wait to see what colours you add to your triangle quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the quilts. Your visiting birds have color - you are very lucky. All of our birds are very basic browns and grays except the scrub jays.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors in your triangle quilt. The colors pop but still blend together. Hard to explain.
ReplyDeleteI really love how this quilt is coming along!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your pics of all the birds that visit you! Great photos:)
