More variety from the fair..............

Four more pictures of quilts.  There are 1400 items of assorted needlecrafts displayed in this building.

I liked the way the candy corn was used to decorate this cake.  Wheat Chex on the roof was pretty neat too.

There were lots of entries in the jewelry catagories in the Arts and Crafts building.

Tatting and hand embroidery were represented.

I have always liked hardanger but have no desire to try to do it.  The ladies that enter this fair are pros at it.

I have one more day of fair photos and by then I should have the final seams in my Bento Box quilt.

  2. your fair has a lot of variety and color! Lot's more than our small fair has here. I love the little house, I never saw one decorated other than for Christmas.

  12. You are so lucky to have a real fair in your area. I live on the East Coast and we don't have any.

    Love the variety.

  14. I love fairs. I'm glad to see so much work entered in the Textiles area. Some areas are having a hard time getting entries by the local people. Fairs are an integral part of growing up for kids. Plus it's nice to see some of that tatting/embroidery is still being done.

  15. Hi Wanda,
Nice photos the last few days.
I would think it could be very challenging to be a judge with all the variety of styles. They probably go by technical guidelines, but still. . .

  16. With all of you pictures of the fair, it actually makes me want to attend ours this year - we haven't been in over 15 years. Thanks for sharing.

  17. All those years while I lived away from home, and entered quilt shows and the fair out there, I had dreams of getting back home to enter the fair where I grew up.

Now this year, I found that they no longer do ANY of the 'fair' stuff I remember and love,......livestock, crafts, gardening......nothing !

So disappointed........and so pleased that you shared your photos with all of us. Thank you !
