Every day there are fewer blooms on the Rose of Sharon bushes. It is getting colder every night but we haven't gotten down to freezing yet.
I have 2 colors of Asters again this year.
There are volunteer plants all over the place. I plan on pulling a bunch of them out as soon as they start to fade.
I chose some fabrics for the kid pillowcases for the shelter but I didn't get it washed or cut. We meet Monday afternoon so I'll need to get it done today.
I love the Rose of Sharon plant. I keep intending to plant that one and never do - does that one need sun all day or does it tolerate shade for a good part of it? I woke up to 62 degrees this morning and a north wind - it feels down right chilly after the 90's that we have been getting. Hmmm, I didn't know there WAS a honeysuckle bush. We have vines down here and they tend to take over whatever area they are planted. Very fragrant little yellow to orange flowers, but no berries.
I'm not much of a gardener, so the photo of your Rose of Sharon intrigued me. It looked a lot like the hibiscus plant we gave to relatives some time ago After a Google moment, I now know the Rose of Sharon is a hibiscus. Thanks for the push to expand my mind. Lovely plant photos. Those fabrics will make cute pillowcases.
