93 triange squares as they came off the machine in one long string.
I got outside around noon and planted some flowers in the area my friend pulled the weeds out of. I knew it was supposed to rain in the afternoon and figured it would be a good time to get them in the ground. I also got 10 minutes of weeding in just before the rain. We had several waves of storms with strong wind but not a huge amount of rain. Today is supposed to be hot but less humid.
How lovely to be able to get out and do some planting.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blocks.I am sure they will be made into something beautiful.
Waves of rain here was over 2 inches in one day. We had straight line winds of 70mph. The sewing is great, but we had no electricity for over 4 hours. Finally went to bed. Chris
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou do wonderful work. I am a Kaffe fan but could
not create anything as nice as your quilts.
Great progress! They will make up into some beautiful blocks. What type of flowers did you plant?
ReplyDeleteThose blocks look mighty pretty! They remind me of fish swimming upstream. :) I just came in from the back yard myself. There's always something to do out there, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteLove the blue and purple block. The play between the colors is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteJust hot and very humid here with 'spotty' storms once in awhile but not enough rain to do any good in over a week.

These blocks are great. You're inspiring me to do something like this.
ReplyDeleteGreat Progress!! Love the latest colors. Do you snip off the ears from the triangle tips before you iron them open?
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!! Your GOOD!!! Those are pretty!!
ReplyDeleteHere you are again capturing the essence of color. Expertly combined blocks. Delightful, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteI love watching these blocks come together! I look forward to your blog post each day. What size are the large and small half-square blocks?
ReplyDeleteNice work on those squares.
ReplyDeleteAnd what is it with all the rain we all are coping with ?
Sunshine here today... But rain tomorrow !

I'm enjoying watching as you put the blocks together. I love Kaffe Kassett patterns but feel like I'm not quite sure what to do with them. I'm learning from watching you. :)
ReplyDeleteTerrific blocks in gorgeous fabrics!
ReplyDeleteIsn't chain piecing awesome! Great colors - I can't wait to see this quilt evolve!
