A lost day...............

We have 2 storm fronts approaching in the next 3 days so I had a migraine today.  Even though I can dull the pain, I am wiped out afterwards.  All I was good for was sorting scraps.
The snowstorm Sunday night into Monday is predicted to be 10-12"  at this point.  I'm sure they will change the prediction several times over the next 3 days, hopefully to less snow.

  1. Get well soon! I have a migraene, too, but not with a headache, but with a vertigo. Got that today, a storm is moving towards us, too.

  2. Wanda, I hope you feel better. Migraines are the pits. Another 10-12", goodness. I hope for your sake they change that prediction too.

  3. Hope you feel better, Wanda. Our snow prediction (130 miles or so south of you) changed from 5-7 inches to RAIN!!! Yay! I hope yours does, too, but you may be too far north.

  4. I dont' get migraines. But I get sinus headaches that are migraine-like. Light and sound sensitivity cause me to find a dark room and earplugs and a dose of sinus meds and ibuprofen. My headaches are a very good storm predictor.

  5. I count myself lucky that I am not prone to headaches. I hope that is the end of headaches for you now for a long time....and I hope all the darned snow disappears soon......I think we are all sick of it!

  6. Oh, Wanda, I'm so sorry to hear about the migraine. I get them too and I know all too well that drained feeling that comes even if you can get the pain to go away. I hope you feel better soon!

  7. Wanda, I hope you feel like your normal self soon! Headaches and migraines can be so debilitating. I wish you well.

  8. Golly-bug, me too. Have been fighting with them all week. Mine are storm triggered and also a result of becoming over-heated at night. Can't sew, can't cook , can't even think. Then there's the hangover from the meds that add a nice tough too. Get better so you can get sewing. Love to see what you do.

  11. I would hate to have migraines as a storm indicator - my mom has horrible pain from her Rheumatoid Arthritis with the change of pressure in the air for storms - I don't know which is worse and I hope nothing like that will ever bother me. Hope you feel better soon and that the storm is a really bad one.

  12. Migraines are no fun at all. We are to get the storm after you. This might be our most significan storm this season. My plans are to clean my horribly messed up and dirty sewing room. Distraction sometimes is the only remedy for pain that really works. Hopefully I can get lost in my efforts and not feel the arthritus and the migraine I know is going to come. Turn on the lights and low music and play with fabric. Chris

  15. I hope you feel better soon and that you're able to get back to quilting. Like you we will be getting snow again also. Two storms coming in this next week. I'd like to see spring already!

  16. Ah, yes, we're getting the storm here too. I just don't want to see any more snow!

Hope that you feel better soon.

  17. Having "discovered" your blog a month ago, I can be fairly certain that you will get more done with a headache than most of us would get done without one!-I dutifully save my scraps and then never look at them again!
    Take care of yourself!

  18. Hope you are feeling better soon. We are just getting a slow drizzling rain, which is good for us.

  20. Your daughters quilt is just beautiful ! I am so glad she has another of your quilts that you enjoyed creating and it glows with her mom's personality.

So glad your meter has been taken care of. Did not realize they'd have to dig up your yard TOO !

Sure hope the storm comes and goes swiftly for the sake of your throbbing migraine. How you accomplish anything with a migraine is amazing to me. And if we get another photo of scrap sorting so be it. Take good care ~

  21. I'm trying to decide how we can treat ourselves in the spring, when this snow finally ends and we don't have to worry about the next storm heading our way. (Maybe we'd better get through the thaw and threat of flooding first.)

I hope you're totally recovered from the headache by now.

  22. Oh no! I hope that is not heading towards us, we were only supposed to get 4 inches, but we usually get what you get.

I am so tired of winter, but visiting your blog makes me see color again!

  23. Dang if it isn't one thing after the other. Nice that we get a break from the trials and tribulations else we'd never get anything done around here, ha?!

I like to see all you were good for because I can add to that. You were good for some added black Kaffe print that we talked about ...I had to buy my own in case I wasted it. I didn't want it to be an added trial or tribulation. So see, THERE. You've been good for more than you think!

Hugging you from across the miles, *karendianne. who also appreciates you even when you're not your usual 110%.

  25. Hi Wanda,
Hope you are feeling better by now.
You are really going to town with putting your quilts into categories! It's fun to look at them in groups.
I'm sure you're going to do a category for table runners, journal covers, etc. You may have 25 or more categories before you know it.
Take care. p.s. sounds like you're due for more snow than us; they're predicting 4-8 inches here.
