Gene, I'm not sure if this is what you meant..............or this................
By the time I tried those 2 I thought I might as well try a couple more.......4 big blocks.....I like the way the center looks raised.
and a big zigzag. I like this last one but don't think I will sew them that way. At least that's what I think right now. I'll check it again after lunch.I shoveled abut 4" this morning and the snow seems to be tapering off. They say it will be back this afternoon.
By the way, I combined two of your ideas last night: I made myself a "european" pillowcase for my buckwheat hulls pillow from Kaffe Fassett fabric... I know YOU know how beautiful it is!
I love #1 & 2 from the last post and the zig-zag from this one. Very cool blocks! We are waiting for the snow to begin here again. This will be the first time I ever remember having 3 snows piled on the ground at once and it sounds like we may have a 4th on the way!
The top one is exactly what I meant. I like that. But I also like the first one on the other post. I like the four big blocks, that look like windows, but for some reason they make me feel like I am falling.
I'm enjoying this show and play you have going on here. I'm keeping my choice of fav's to myself as a sort of personal surprise, ya know, to see if we land in the same place. ;) Snow is very heavy as I recall. That would be in the olden days... being as olden as I am. hee.
I really like the second picture posted under the heading 16 blocks completed. I've been off the pc for a few days and you've got 2 new quilt tops pieced! Love this off centered log cabin, fun with the dotty centers!
Oh wow, what tough choices! I love them all - your blocks are so wonderful, how could you go wrong with any of those layouts? But I have to say my fave is #4 today - it IS unexpected...and exciting!
Stop by my blog...I'm having a giveaway for my 2 year blogiversary! www.indigothreads.blogspot.com
I really like teh last two arrangements. The big zig zag looks like a modern antique and I'm a sucker for the wonky squares made from off center log cabins -- the four big blocks are wonderfully bold.
gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI really like that raised centre look you get in the third layout in this post.
ReplyDeleteI like all of the above.Wig.
ReplyDeleteI really like the last one; the zig-zag.

I love the top one best. These blocks just exude joy.
ReplyDeleteI like No. 2 from the previous post, the ones with the corners pointing out... have fun pondering the options!!
ReplyDeleteI vote for the big blocks.
ReplyDeleteIt is starling to see the black centers as windows into a starry night.

Fantastic! I'm torn between the first and third photo. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell you snuck in more pics. I like 1, 3, and 2 in that order. I really like them all though. Hannah
ReplyDeleteYikes! This could be a series! lol I likethat last zig zag. hmm actually I like most of the options. Decisions!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are WAY too many choices for me to try to decide which I like best. LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't know if anyone has suggested this, but how about on point?
ReplyDeleteLove these blocks any way you turn them!
These blocks are zippy and exciting and definitely exuberant. I like Anya's suggestion about trying on point, but any way, they'll be energetic.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one you did the other day. The dark center gives a dimensional look that is lost in these other versions.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great looking quilt, anyway you do it.

ReplyDeleteYou don't get the rest with the bottom layout, nor the top two. But they still look good.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I like layout #4 the best. It is unexpected.
ReplyDeletewow I love #3 but it makes me dizzy to look at it!!

These blocks are great. You can not go wrong with any layout.

ReplyDeleteI like the fourth one of today's pictures and the third from yesterday. Love reading all your news. Inspiring. Liz
ReplyDeleteThose are all sooooo cool! Love the colors!

I still like the first one on the previous post best, though they all look nice.
ReplyDeleteoh Wow! I think you need to make another 6 quilt or so!
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting how many different patterns you cab get from the same block. They all look great. Do you have a long arm to quilt your quilts?
