Dotty done

I spent most of the day yesterday vacuuming the basement and I doubt if you want to see a picture of my vacuum cleaner or my feet moving to keep up with it. Thursday night's Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice were re-run on TV last night and I was glad I didn't have to watch them on my computer monitor. While I watched them I cut and sewed the binding for the dotty tablerunner and hand sewed the back of the binding. This one is 15.5" x 29".The camera lens curves the top and bottom edges when in real life they are straight. I took the pictures by laying it on the hardwood floor at my feet. I think I get straighter pictures when I pin it on a design wall and step back to take the picture.
Today I have 2 batches of cookies to bake and some last minute straightening up in the basement to prepare for the art quilters tomorrow. It looks like we will have good weather.

  5. Wanda, It looks beautiful!! I have also done that before, laid it on the floor and taken the picture. Definitely better on the wall. I love Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice too. This week's episodes were great. I am looking forward to Flash Forward returning. That show really intrigued me!

  7. My pics always turn out better when I can take them upright too, I just don't have a very big design wall, so take a lot of mine on the floor. I don't see your toes, so that's good,

  8. Wanda, Yet again, another winner! You are amazing and so productive. Do you and your art quilters take turns hosting your group get-togethers? Sounds like fun.

  9. Hi Wanda,
    Gotta love that name, "Dotty".
Brings to mind a funny story told by my friend Dorothy, who was sometimes called "Dot".
Someone she worked with got so mad at her she couldn't speak, and the first words out of her mouth were "well, you i-Dot" (instead of idiot).
We still laugh over that one.

  11. I find it difficult to get a squared-up photo of a quilt, so I understand. I like the K.Fasset-like quilt from stripes. I really must make my own one of these days.
