There is still time to sign up for the things in yesterday's post until midnight tonite. I have some good news too. I was so sure that no one would want the calicoes from pre-1984 and you all fooled me. I have another batch that is more multicolor that I will divide up and draw 4 additional names. I won't have those batches ready until after Christmas but the first group will get mailed out right away. I used to make charm kits back in 1986 and I still have two left, one which I will divide up. If you want to see my charm quilts go to the Label list on the right side bar and click on Charm Quilts.

ReplyDeleteI've made several log cabins and still have one unfinished. I think I'll have to get it out and work on it after Christmas. The fudge looks delicious. It's 19 degrees in WV after 50 yesterday, but I see it's 4 there so I shouldn't complain. Stay warm. I'm on my laptop snuggled up with a lap quilt reading the temperature on line.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the fudge and you said you evened up the edge, I was hoping it was a third day of give-aways. To paraphrase yesterday's:
ReplyDelete"This last group is the first cut to straighten the FUDGE so they are crooked width strips varying anywhere from 3/4" to 3" wide. They are great for a SNACKING project and they are all DELICIOUS so mention that if you want to be in a drawing for them."
I would especially look forward to the 3" wide pieces, but the 3/4" ones would be just as tasty!

Fudge is definitely a food group, along with shortbread! A co-workers wife sent over trays of fudge, we all kept our plates hidden to take home and snacked from the "community" tray all day! hehehe Then asked for the recipe.

The fascinating thing about looking at your giveaway is seeing the evolution of your fabric choices through the years. I know you must have made quilts of some, or all, of those fabrics at different times in your quilting career, but your current passion is quite different.

Chocolate MUST be "the" seasonal food - so far, our office has received (and consumed) a large box of chocolate covered pretzels, a box of chocolate squares, brownies, several coffee cakes, and today we received a 5 lb. box of exquisite chocolates from the local (premiere) candy maker. Oh my ~ so hard to walk past the kitchen without making a detour to inhale the aroma (and try "just a taste").
