Red Journal

One of my art quilter friends (who is coming here with the group today) asked if I could make covers for her sketch books. I wrote down the measurements but didn't take good notes so I made one up in some of her favorite colors to try on her book today. If it doesn't fit hers I have a book that it will fit.Front above and back below.
Opened out flat.
I spent several hours cleaning up my clutter in the basement. I sometimes have as many as 8 projects laying out down there. Just think, if the art quilters didn't come to visit I would never keep the basement studio organized.

  1. I would have a hard time giving up that beauty! I don't have a basement, so I would take one organized or not. Karmen

  4. Love the cover! Great colours. Years ago when I ran the vacuum cleaner, my kids used to ask me who was coming over.

Maybe that's the reason my place is always so disorganized...I don't have any company coming to keep me on my toes!

  10. Hi Wanda,
What a gorgeous sketchbook cover. Maybe you're secretly hoping it won't fit her book?
Somehow we never see our living spaces the same as when we are threatened with company. Yikes!

  13. Another beautiful journal cover! I really like your quilting on this one. I like the random lines....I'll have to remember that!

Yeah, nothing like company to make us pick up messes that we normally are happy with. I've found it quite motivating!

  15. Wonderful colours. Really Exuberant.

I wonder if I could ask a favour? I saw you posted on Tonya's blog that you've got lots of 80's reds and whites. I making up Quits 4 Leukaemia quilts from strips and blocks, mostly from what you sent last time, and could do with some more ifyou haven't sent it all to Ton!
