I guess I will stop calling it rose garden and now call it delicious watermelon. I finished making the blocks at 10:30 last night so I only tried one layout.I tried the mix of pinks and purples and was too lazy to run back upstairs to get 4 more dark blocks for the corners so I just put in light ones that were laying there on the table.
Today I have nothing on my calendar so I hope to spend the day reorganizing. I feel like I just rushed from one thing to another all week last week.
Corals (pinks & reds too) and greens are my all time favorite color combinations. It certainly does look like delicious watermelon too. I can't wait to see what other block arrangements you come up with. Really, really beautiful!
These are looking great...I like the mix of pink and purple too.
I need to do the reorganizing thing too as I have the pieces of the last 3 projects in tubbies as I went from one project to the next on these last 3 models.
Delicious Watermelon makes my mouth water. I am still studying the mix with the purple. The red just pops off the screen with the purple/green blocks framing it.
Hi Wanda, Everything looks so delectable! You always come up with interesting eye candy for us! It could be a fruit bowl or a garden or popsicles, depending on the arrangement (and what you decide to call it). Vicky F
Funny isn't it? You say Pinks, greens and purples are going into the same quilt, and it really doesn't sound as though it will work, but, boy oh boy, it does. I loved the second layout.
They are both wonderful in their own unique way.
ReplyDeleteI really like the purple and green with the pink WOW added to it.

ReplyDeleteYes, definitely watermelon and grapes now! I often have those weeks/days when I feel like I have done nothing but have done too much.

Delicious Watermelon reminds me of Watermelon Tourmaline. I have a lovely bracelet that goes from the darkest green to pale pink.
ReplyDeleteYum! The pinks and purples are perfect!!! It's nice to see a red-green combination that isn't Christmas! The blocks are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the layout with the pink and purple blocks combined!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the one with the pinks and purples together.
ReplyDeleteThey really look as delicious as water melons - beautiful colours :)
ReplyDeleteThe pink and green on their own are fabulous. Add the purple in and it becomes even more interesting. What a stunning quilt this will be!!
