More cutting, more playing

I got all of the purples cut. I had to lay them with the yellows to see how they looked. I'm happy with the piles and hope the blocks are just as exciting.
I took out the striped bead multicolor fabric and cut some more of the black and white giraffe. I had put one corner of it in there using a leftover from my black and white quilt and decided I liked the texture it created. I also pulled out the pink tie dye corners and put in more of the multicolor big circles.
I'm still not ready to sew it. I'm not sure I like the pink with orange dots now. I might try substituting something else in there.

  5. Yes, I think the purple-orange combination is so bold, it suits the design. The colors in this one couldn't be too brillant! Please don't dim it.

  6. Loving the purples and yellows . . . living vicariously through your gorgeous colors for now. (and I agree that the pink in the corner blocks on your design wall may not work so well now)

I don't have any suggestions for the circle quilt, but it's interesting to see how you are figuring out what works.
The yellow and purple strips are looking luscious.

  12. Love the impact the purples make with the yellow strips. And how you have displayed them for us. Like ribbons of hard candy.

re: Curves ~ Can hardly believe this is the same piece you were showing us yesterday. Had to go back and check yesterday's again. This one is taking on the fun that compliments your strolling panther.

  15. You know, the picture of the piles of strips is gorgeous. Piecing something to get all those undulations in there would be fantastic. Maybe I'll strip piece, take a photo and then attempt to make the quilt I see in my own photo.
