Yesterday was the 8th busy day in a row.........
Today I think I have the day to myself so I can catch up on things I need to do. Last night I was so tired that all I could do is look through a pile of fabric. I pulled out all of the yellow/orange florals and anything with sunflowers on it. I just like the pile of sunshine but don't know if I would use them all together.
Last night was sweater weather, after all of those days of sweltering heat and humidity. I'm not complaining about a little cool weather though.

And glad you are not sweltering, and things have cooled off for you!

  2. It seems your weather is erratic as ours! We have had a lovely 21C degree day here, it was wonderful, but tomorrow is going to be windy & very cold, as a change sweeps up from the south.

  3. You have been a busy lady! Love the yellows. My favorite color! The classes sound like fun and your garden is absolutely lovely.

  4. Wow... I'm surprised to see you have a healthy stash of non-batiks as well! I like yellow quilts, I hope you do make something out of these.

  5. It's a beautiful pile of sunshine! It has me smiling on this cloudy, muggy morning in CT. :)

  6. How cheerful! We had some showers yesterday, still no good long rain this year, and our temp dropped last night to 40F. or so. Yikes. The sun is shining today. Hope you get some R&R!

  7. I enjoyed seeing your pile of sunshine too.

re:Photographing fabrics, it was interesting to see what the change of lighting does to colors. I was told in a photography clinic one time it was the film used that gave a blue hue to all photo's. You proved lighting does make a big difference.

I sure understand why you need some time for you today. Hope you catch your breath.

  8. HI Wanda,
I love sunflower fabrics- I made a disappearing nine patch and gave it away to a friend who is not well these days. There is something really cheery about sunflowers.. I will post a photo of the quilt on the weekend.
Happy quilting- I am off to quilt my sister in laws quilt.
    Regards,
    Anna

  9. Hi Wanda, Funny I had just pulled out all my yellows, but not necessarily flowers, this past weekend. I never figured out exactly what I wanted to do with them and have now put them back into the stash but the yellows all looked so cheery. The heat has been bad here as well with highs in the high 90's-low 100's plus high humidity. Maybe the yellows have a refreshing feel to them.

  10. Hi Wanda
I hope you had a chance to rest and recharge today. I don't like being tightly booked, either.

Are you thinking summer table runner?
