We have a pair of cardinals who visit regularly. I have not been able to capture a photo of them because we have some wrens who have nested in one of our bird houses. Now anytime a bird comes into the back yard the male wren has a temper tantrum until they leave. That little guy is a powerful bird, he even goes up against the blue jays!
beautiful! I always look for cardinals when we visit the in-laws in Wisconsin, since we don't have them here in California. What is is about red birds that's so exciting?
I have a family of cardinals in my rose bush by the front door. Momma gets very upset when I go in and out the door.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely couple!
ReplyDeleteSuch striking birds! They were my Mom's favorites. We don't have cardinals here in the West, and I miss them. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCardinals are just beautiful birds! They make a great pair.
ReplyDeleteSitting pretty, perched in a tree! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI wonder where the little ones were?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous picture! I love it when we see cardinals. Haven't seen any yet this year.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauties make me think: Was Darwin right? Maybe our world was created after all... by someone who knew his job...

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the cardinals this year, I think having the cats stalking them scared them off to someone else's yard.
ReplyDeleteI see the cardinals all the time, but never get a great photo like yours! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great shot! Would make a nice poster with the right matting.
ReplyDeleteMy cardinals like to come to our feeders right at dusk and dawn to stay hidden. But I know they are there because I can hear them just fine!
