I did fairly simple quilting. I even forgot to make the little loop at the center of the block borders a couple times. The quilt police don't come to my house.
I thought the Jack Frost paintings were interesting today with the "jet trails" going off in several directions.
Beautiful quilt! Beautiful frost! Your photos are great to see.
ReplyDeleteI like the sophisticated brights in this one, plus what Frosty Jack is doing with your windows these days is pretty cool!
ReplyDelete30 quilts... wow, you sound like me. I have been wanting to finish all the projects on my to do list as well. I am making a little headway. Again, your photos of the frost are amazing. I just love them.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that quilt and love the frosted window photos. I think I need to get them from you in higher resolution to add to my collection of winter photos for my living room, okay?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous frost paintings, but I am SO glad I don't live where you do. I just couldn't bear to go to work this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteYesterday's high was 21 and I wasn't scheduled to work the last 2 nights, so I've only gone outside to pick up the mail and take the dog out.
I'm such a wimp.
Hi Wanda,
ReplyDeleteGreat frost photos. Do they stay that way all day, or come overnight and leave as it gets a tiny bit warmer outside?
You are a brave woman, counting up all your undone quilts. I would be afraid that if I did that, it would send me into a state of inaction.
Keep warm!

This one says "Elegantly Rich". The narrow hand finished border is another perfect finish.
ReplyDeleteI did click on your frosted window panes to see the detail of the icy feathering that only mother nature can do. Made me think of, one of Disney's animations with that tiny little fairy that was painting all the frosty scenes...

I LOVE the fabrics in this quilt ~ gorgeous! You know you live in Chicago when the temperature fluctuates 50 degrees in 24 hours but remains frickin' COLD!
ReplyDeleteJack Frost's window visits are at least some compensation for winter. Those photos are just great!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all those finishes. You certainly are moving along. It's a wonderful one today -- that pattern is one I never tire of, maybe because it looks different every time.
I'm impressed with your plan to finish all 30.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure you WILL accomplish it.

Beautiful quilts and photos! What sort of camera do you have?
ReplyDeleteAnd 30 quilts! I am in the process of making my very first quilt. Do you do the binding after the quilting?
I love this one. Yes, I know I love pretty much anything you do, but wowzers. And though I seem to be physically incapable of doing simple quilting, your wavy crosshatch is very appealing and appropriate here.
ReplyDeleteI haven't moved, so I'm sure you still have my address... ;-)

Lovely quilt. I think patterns are repeated endlessly in nature. Wonderful pics of the 'fern gardens'.
ReplyDeleteOn a cold day it's not so bad to spend 4 hours with a quilt on your lap sewing a binding! I really like the quilting on this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a warm, happy quilt you've just finished ~ such a contrast to the winter photos (I do agree with the Disney fairy comment above... I can see the scene so clearly!).
ReplyDeleteOur bird bath never thawed even a tiny bit today ~ I still haven't gone out to get the mail and now it is dark and even colder so the mail may have to wait until morning!
Time to go hand stitch some binding ~ perfect for a chilly evening!
Congratulations on another one finished! This is very pretty and bright! I love it.
ReplyDeletevery cute quilting - I love the little loops!
ReplyDeleteAnother gem. I love the reds.
ReplyDeleteawesome! your quilts are wonderful and your photography is fantastic! Its always a joy to visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteThirty quilts...holy cow! Are you ever ambisious. Your photos are too cool for words...Isn't Mother Nature awsome;)
ReplyDeleteWow! That quilt is a stunner! I love these prints and colors! I can't wait to see the other 29 quilts that you are going to be working on.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful finish. I have about 40 projects to finish.
ReplyDeleteI really like the quilting on that one. Great job.
ReplyDeleteWOW...30 unfinished projects....isn't it amazing how many we can accumulate...I didn't think I had but a couple....but when I started checking I found I have 11..!!!!! I guess I better get busy too..uh..??
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful quilt and quilting. I am with you...the quilt police do not come to my home too.
