Done!

I showed this top laying with the border fabric and backing fabric here. I got it quilted this week and put the binding on last night, all by machine. It measures 62" x 76" so it should be a good cuddle quilt on the couch.

I finished the 2 bags with the triangles leaning to the right

and leaning to the left.

It is going to get up to 50 degrees today before the drop to the 20's tomorrow morning. The snow has almost all melted and it is a brown and grey landscape. Luckily I have my sunshine lights in the 2 studios. Off to play.

  1. I am going to have to get that pattern and try one of these. Though they might not be as cute without the triangles.
The quilt is pretty too.I sometimes put the binding on all by machine...faster.

  5. The bags are so cute. I wish we had some of your weather. We have a raging blizzard here with wind chills of -40 and that's the same in both scales, ie COLD!

  6. Hi Wanda
A very Christmassy quilt, and it's done -- even better!
I vote for the top bag; it's just so cheery. The colors make me happy.

  7. Wow! You've been busy! I love your Christmassy cuddle quilt! And the bagz are yummy! But then, I like everything you make! I have never tried to finish the binding by machine. Perhaps I should try it.

  9. Marvelous Christmas quilt ~ hope you take time to snuggle under it!! Don't stress about the decorating ~ do what is meaningful for YOU and only what you "want to" or "enjoy" ~ there is too much "should" this month. (and your little bags are just the happiest spots of color... just wonderful).

  10. Wanda,
I love the Christmas quilt- a great use of the fabrics- it looks so festive. I always do a blind hem stitch on my machine to finish my bindings- it takes such a long time to do it by hand and the pile gets to be too overwhelming if I hand stitched them all. That probably sounds blasphemus(sp?)- I usually use invisible thread so that the stitching is not obvious. I used to machine stitch the binding on and then handstitch the outside layer but all the queen sized quilts have made me lazy...
Your little bags are just terrific too.
I wish the temp was as warm as you are- we are cold, cold cold here in Alberta.
    Enjoy the holidays,
    Anna
