I have 3 quilts ready for binding, this one below, the Christmas quilt I showed earlier this month, and another that I just finished quilting. I haven't decorated for Christmas yet. The major cleaning, and decorating will be the day before my company arrives for a week visit. I did some Christmas shopping yesterday, and some on the Internet as well. I guess Christmas will come whether I am ready or not.
This is a great array of greens, I always have to enlarge your posts just to study the printed detail of the fabrics. Your fabric collection is unbelievable to me and I thought I had a lot.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth "Christmas will come whether we are ready or not."
You accomplsih more than most of us and knowing you ~ it will all get done and you will keep posting as usual.

Have you ever sewn down the bindings by machine? I saw an online video demonstrating the technique and I might try it on my latest scrap quilt. It looks pretty fast and neat enough using her method.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt! Such beautiful serene colors. More aqua and green than some of your other bright and bold quilts. Very stunning. It will be just lovely bound! And yes, Christmas will come sooner than we think.
ReplyDeleteYes, Christmas is like having a baby... it will come when it comes!
ReplyDeleteI like this photo. For one thing, it gives me a good idea how to quilt the I-Spy quilt that I have on deck. The problem is that all the 6" blocks have different sized objects for 'spying' in them, and I didn't want to put stitches over Snow White's face, etc. by following a certain quilt design. If I can think far enough ahead (debatable LOL) then the loops will go around or miss all the important stuff.
i can't wait to see 'The Whole' quilt!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the days are disappearing and there are not enough hours in each day for all that needs to be done. I love the graphic design the elongated triangles make with all the wonderful colors.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a project of yours that I didn't like, though!
Ditto to pretty much everything, except we have no visitors staying this christmas, and I have to finish off 2 more quilts to have 3 ready to bind!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a busy week here too, I haven't decorated or shopped at all yet....I need to clean too as my sis is coming next Friday. She will only stay 2 nights here, then on to my hometown. Maybe I could keep the lights dimmed?
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda,
ReplyDeleteEven though it sounds like you feel you aren't getting enough done, I think you're in "full speed project mode". It's nice to have some things ready to go for sit-down stitching.
And your quilt looks nice, too.

When have I ever felt "ready" for Christmas? As you say, it happens whether you are ready or not. You're not alone! The quilt with the binding sitting atop looks so lovely and appealing.
ReplyDeleteI'll never be ready for Christmas, but it will come anyway. I love the greens in that quilt! Can we see the whole thing, huh, please!
