Did you like my new word, setsomania? While cleaning the studio and moving things around I also grouped like things together. Here are the piles of strip sets. I think I need to do something with them now.I am so glad I left the cone flower seed heads in the back yard. There are 3 finches in this picture having lunch.
I love making up words -- yours is great! I was considering leaving a group of plants in the yard for "winter interest" and then someone told me that the birds will come eat the seeds all winter. So I've left them, but so far no birds. Maybe later.
Hi Wanda, Hope you had a good birthday. Isn't nice that being lazy about garden cleanup turns out to be beneficial to the birds? I've used it as my excuse for several years now.
I hope that you had a "happy Sunday" as well. The strip sets are gorgeous, just piled up as such. I'm sure that they will assembled or pulled into something quite nice.
Love your new word! I love making up new words! Wow! If those strip sets don't get you inspired, I don't know what will. Cute little finches. I always leave my plants until spring, not only to attract birds, but also because I am basicly lazy in the fall!
I always like to see what birds like what leftovers in my yard. One year I had bluebirds eating the last of the tiny fruits on my burning bush. Normally I don't see bluebirds, so that was fun.
I believe you have another quilt in the raw there!
ReplyDeleteHappy little finches, aren't they?
It is so easy to practise a little hospitality. Well done!

ReplyDeleteI'll trade you your strip sets for my never ending bags of scraps!

ReplyDeleteHey I spotted FOUR finches. I absolutely adore small songbirds and birds.
ReplyDelete"Strip Setsomania" Wish that was on my work table. Looks wonderful.

Looks like your weather is a lot better than ours. The ground is thoroughly covered with white and it is snowing steadily. Yech. Way too early.

ReplyDeleteLucky finches that you decided to leave them a late fall treat! :-)

Love your new word and it is perfect for what you are doing. Don't you just love the finches, so cute?
ReplyDeleteLove the word, & the sets!
ReplyDeleteToo many neat freaks pull all the seeds & forget about the birds. It is wonderful that they can feast a little longer.
Those strip sets look so tempting...how long are you going to leave them just sitting there?..lol..bet not long
ReplyDeleteHey, does anyone else see 4 birds having lunch?
ReplyDeleteLike the sets-o-mania!
