I cut some more center squares from some of the biggest Kaffe and Philip Jacobs prints and more strips from some of the newer small prints. I'm not sure if I like the very lightest prints in there. I may be making 2 quilts.
Or try it on point instead of straight..............
I like the lights in this quilt myself... when it first appear on screen I thought "another dazzler". And I agree, experiment with it on point. I can just visualize it growing into a stunning piece. I love making these comments and not having to do the work it takes to do it. (*._,*)
On point ~ that's what I'm considering for our king bed quilt. Several of KF's book quilts include diamonds and on point setting... I'm drawn to these, but have avoided setting triangles (no longer such a fear).
The Kaffe Fassett fabrics are fabulous, and you have used them so well! I think the light blocks look great here, but it would be interesting to see them in two different arrangements.
As usual, it's another beautiful quilt from you, Wanda. I would be interested to see it on point, though!

ReplyDeleteI like the lights in there -- perhaps if you add a few more lights you'll like it better?
ReplyDeleteOn point would be really interesting with those blocks.
Lovely blocks!
ReplyDeleteI just nominated you for a web award...please visit my blog for details!
The blocks are wonderful! Love the light accents.
