Not much accomplished..............

All I got done was assembling the last 3 blocks for the Fractured quilt.  I realized yesterday that if I add a row on the right side of the quilt it will place the circular part at the center from side to side.  Right now it is off center.  I have to decide if I want it off center in both directions before I go to the design wall because the blocks will fill the whole double wall.

The tree across the street has more color every day.  It's not going to change completely though until we get some cooler weather.  It wa 86 here yesterday and still 70 when I went to bed.  It was 88 in Chicago and broke the record all the way from the 1880s by 4 degrees.  84 degrees predicted for today.

I wanted to have another photo of the Geranium because it is so pretty.

I had to get new tires for my 22 year old Chrysler van because the old ones were 12 years old and starting to rot from age.  I also got a new battery so I hope I get through this coming winter without calling for a jumpstart.  I only drive about 50 miles a month so it is hard to keep a battery charged up.

We had to buy a new battery for our car and I was shocked at how expensive they are now. That is such a beautiful color on the tree. We are driving through the Laurel Highlands today for a quilt store shop hop and I’m hoping there are some beautiful fall colors to see. We got some hard rain from the remnants of the hurricane on the weekend but it didn’t knock off all our leaves so my fingers are crossed.

I 'm in Nebraska and use a use a "tender" on my battery. It looks like a small charger and you can leave it on the car in the garage. It's hooked to the battery and plugged into a regular wall socket. --Annette

My husband had a car that didn't get driven much and wouldn't hold a charge as long as he needed. A mechanic suggested the same solution Annette uses: a battery tender. We hooked it up to the car the beginning of every month and let it run overnight; that did the trick; no more dead batteries.

Do you realize that your Fractured quilt mirrors that tree turning colors across the street? Funny how things like that occur, isn't it?
So pretty, Wanda--I love the colors in this one..you have such a great eye;)))
We are starting to get some Maples coloring up here...and Ash trees are turning yellow now
61 degrees here today when I ventured out to do the weekly shopping...after yesterday's Costco adventure, I confirmed that I much prefer this smaller local shopping...
My hand has seemed to reach a plateau of light aching--so still waiting to do any stitching,,,S I G H ...Hugs, Julierose

I keep forgetting to take a picture of the trees in my backyard. There is one that is really pretty. Having tires for 14 years is amazing! I know you don't drive much, but still ... Tires just don't seem to last. I only have a little over 60,000 on my car and I just put another set on it. There were the original ones, a replacement set and now these.

the tree is looking so pretty. It is always nice to get one that is really orange or red or yellow - so many here in the hardwoods are an oak or close to that and they just get brown. Across from I get PT at when I have gone is a beautiful red/orange maple but not yet I need to look next time I drive in that area.

It doesn't look like we are going to get much color on our trees this year. The maple, that's usually spectacular, seems to just be dropping leaves. I think the summer weather stressed the trees too much and they are happy to just get on to winter.
