I got 4 blocks sewn last night. They are 18" square so this is 36" square. I have to figure out what kind of layout I will be able to do with such big blocks.
I looked for binding fabric for the Kaffe zipper quilt and this is one that I think will work. (larger photo farther down this post).
This is the second one and it's hard to see what the print looks like here, but look at the next photo. I like both of these and haven't made a decision yet.
I was totally shocked that the wild print looks as good as it does. I figured the colors and values were right and that is why I tried it. As a narrow strip it looks good.
Yesterday was in the low 70s and 100% sunshine so I was able to pick a lot more tomatoes than I have in the last week. I only have a few ripe enough to eat so next week looks like more salads.

I vote for the wild one! It matches the character of the top :) Those really are large blocks, goodness!
Looks like either one of those fabrics would work for the binding. It surprised me to see what the one looked like i.e. the wild floral one. I am glad you are still getting some tomatoes. Your garden seems to have been quite productive this year.
I alo like the wild one--really goes so well;)))
35 here this morning...but nice and clear and sunny...

Wild print, for sure! As you said, it fits the character of the piece. And the diagonal layout you have going for those big blocks looks like it will keep things interesting.
I have used that dotted one before and it worked perfectly for my quilt. I am leaning to the wild one for your quilt. So fun.
Nice big blocks for your Fractured top… you always decide on the perfect binding. And I anxiously wait to see which one you decide on.
which Die are you using for the Fracture quilt? You are still getting tomatoes - they must be almost done. Right now on the weather I saw the hurricane that will be coming into the gulf might have a pathway all the way to the Chicago area - maybe your ground will soak in a lot of that rain if it is still strong by then?
How marvelous that you found not just one suitable binding fabric, but two! Either one will be perfect, but the wild flowered one has petals that look like hearts! Have fun choosing!
Hugs!
I love the look of these fractured quilt blocks - so colorful and cheery! I'll add my 2 cents on the binding for the zipper quilt - the wild one!
The big blocks look great! Another beauty in the works!
