Some new fabric...............

I used to buy at least one color of every new Kaffe fabric but now I only buy the ones I like and sometimes more than one color.  The February fabric was finally delivered to the stores.  I thought this one might make nice bindings but I may end up using some in other projects.  I got 1/2 yard of each.

I had to have several colors of this one.  I got a yard of the red and half yards of the other 3.

This is the last batch of Marcia Derse paired strips, sewn last night.  I also sewed a few in the morning but they were in the basement with the group I sewed the night before.  I had the iron on to press the last 4 fabrics that I needed to cut so I pressed all of the previously sewn pairs.

The white cactus by the west picture window has 2 blooms currently.  I have 2 more plants that each have one bud.

Of course I had to take a close up photo.

  1. Those fan prints would make such fun bindings! I took a look at the Christmas cactus I just bought, and it will be blooming very soon! It was very dry when I brought is home last Saturday so it got a big drink of water. It must be happy since it is about to bloom! I think the flowers will be a dark pink.

  3. My order of the new KF roses in green/pink arrived yesterday - backing for a planned quilt (strips are cut, waiting for me to finish pending projects). It's gorgeous, isn't it.

  5. Wow your cacti are giving you such lovely blooms--mine are still not giving me any showtime!!
I love those shell/fan prints of KF and the roses are gloriously colored, aren't they? Birthday luncheon for tom today--he is 87!!
And a surprise visit from our daughter, Candice is in the works...
should be fun. Only 36 degrees--still chilly and windy here...
I hope your weekend is a good one...hugs, Julierose

  6. It's fun to see the new prints in different colorways. The fans look very KF but the roses, not so much. The sun came out mid-afternoon but the winds are still blustering.

  7. Those ARE pretty fabrics! They almost force you to buy them, don't they? And your cacti are so pretty. I think I only had a couple of blooms this year. Not a good cactus mom.

  8. I still have a few blossoms left on the cactus but not much and just on two of them now. It is nice to see them still finishing now when it is about spring already

  9. Pretty new fabrics. I especially like that first batch. Love the close up of the cacti. It looks like a bird in flight.
