Binding complete.....................

First thing yesterday I chose and cut the binding for the  16 patch quilt made with Nancy Crow fabric.

With 3 hours of NCIS to watch I got the binding sewn on and finished by machine.

Now it is ready to photograph and measure, today's task.

Petunias are still blooming but there is a hard freeze coming over the weekend.  I hope I remember to pull this pot into the garage.

There are a few of the white with black veins petunias blooming too and that pot is too heavy to lug to the garage.

Inside I have my first cactus bloom.  This was one of the new plants I bought last year and I had never seen a white with pink edging on the petals before.  It was in a medium size pot and when I decided to split it, I found 3 plants in the pot.  They all got planted in new pots and the other 2 have buds now too.

  1. That’s a beautiful cactus flower. I love the cross over from last flowering outdoor plants to flowering inside plants…..seems balanced.

  2. That will be a big finish for so early in November! Looks like the hard freeze will miss us at least for now. I will have to get outside to enjoy the few poppies that are still blooming. There is snow in for forecast for Monday and Tuesday, but that could easily change. It too early for snow! LOL!!

  3. Oh, that's a pretty cactus bloom! Can you collect seeds from the white with black veins petunia?

  4. Sounds like record time to me to get your binding cut and sewn on completely. I Anxiously await its formal photo… fun seeing your last blooms outside and even more you new cactus blossom from inside.

  5. Beautiful bloom! Both of my plants now have buds - one will clearly flower before the other but again this year it appears we will have lots of blossoms to enjoy. Congrats on the finish of that big quilt!

  6. That's a gorgeous cactus. I have a white one that turns pinkish, but nothing like that distinct edging. Two of my large cacti are starting to bloom and several are budded. I have several older plants that are showing their age and I really need to start some new ones before I lose them completely.

  7. I love the white blossom with the pink edge, mine is plain white. I have not been able to get into NCIS this season, I watched a couple but I kept doing other things at the same time and found I was barely paying attention to it. I have not tried the spin off from Blue Bloods but intend to see if I like it
