Thanks to a friend I decided on borders on a medallion quilt made 9 years ago. I was stuck at 61" square and wanted it to become rectangular. The borders are sewn on the top and bottom. Here is the top and the inspiration for it.
Last night I finished sewing the flannel tumbler quilt top. Now I have 3 quilt tops to press so maybe I'll turn on the iron today.
A friend started blogging again so check her out. She mentions me in this post from yesterday.

Aw, thanks for the mention. It’s real now….the Wanda Effect 😂
ReplyDeleteThat’s a great KF to make your medallion quilt rectangular. The flannel tumbler top is beautiful, such rich colors perfect with a fall feel.
Progress on both an old and a new project!
ReplyDeleteThe inspiration you give to ALL of us every day is phenomenal and so happy to read the dedication she gave to you for the “Wanda effect”. Your post today sent me to the posts you mentioned. And it was so fun to see what others are doing. And I ended up sending the carrot rounds with honey and cranberries recipe to myself.
ReplyDeleteLoving that close up photo of the new border! Your returned to blogging friend is one of my friends, too - very happy she’s back!
ReplyDeleteon the tumbler quilt do you cut your sides straight or put more effort into the binding and leave as is. I know I have made several and have always cut the edges straight
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos and wonderful progress!
ReplyDelete38*F here this morning. Brrrrrrr!
Hugs!
The Kaffe prints are delicious. I looked back at the original post—2016, and I commented back then. Time flies. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteLike Nann, I too looked back on your 2016 post and saw that I commented as well. How does time fly by so quickly? And I did not remember the quilt, so I’m glad you linked up to refresh our memories!
