Ready for top and bottom borders.........................

The top is sewn on this zig zag but I haven't decided how wide the border at the top and bottom will be.  I will press this today and hopefully make a decision.

I finished one of the three started dishcloths.  Usually I can get 2 out of one ball of yarn.  Even though they all say they have the same number of yards it is pretty obvious to me that I'll only get a little over a half of another from this ball.  I have at least 2 more balls of this color so I'll be able to tie on a new ball when I run out.

I was happy to find a spool of thread in my stash that matches the odd orange color in the backing of this quilt.

I got several lines quilted last night.

  3. The zig zag quilt looks great! That is a pretty, almost Xmas looking, dishcloth. That backing fabric is fabulous! Is that one of your bargains that you have had stashed away for years waiting for just the right quilt?

  6. Wow that was quick work on sewing the zig-zags together, Wanda;))) Nice that you had that orange thread on hand to match that lovely backing fabric...
60 here this morning and overcast with rain in the forecast--I take that rain forecast with a grain of salt as it mostly has missed us here this Summer...Did my weekly grocery shopping early this morning--and made a Shepherd's Pie for our dinner.
Tomorrow will be luncheon out for our 60th:)))
    Hugs, Julierose

  7. Fun post today Wanda ~ from lime green to orange fabrics. Your last two photos really bring out the orange in each other. Both so strikingly beautiful.
