Decision made..................

After a little thought yesterday I decided to use the 'chips' fabric and mix it in with 'gameboard'.  I just cut strips and cut squares from it.  No fussy cutting.  Here are 4 different cuts of it.

I added a few into the mix and I think it looks like it was meant to be.  Now I have the 150 blocks sewn and ready to arrange for the original size quilt I intended to make.  I will take these off the design wall and make piles of the different colors so I'll be ready later this week to work on it.

I got more strips cut for the Marcia Derse 16 patch quilt too.

Today is supposed to be the hottest and most humid day this week.  They are saying upper 70s later in the week but they have teased us before and it didn't happen.  I sure hope it is going to cool off and have a drop in the humidity.

  1. I like the mix of the two fabrics--works so well;)))
72 here at 6 a.m.; tomorrow is supposed to be the most humid for us here...hoping for some decent rain--we had .06 yesterday--most of the storms went North of us as per usual...

  2. I love this quilt with the juxtaposition of the black and white against the vibrant Kaffe colors. What are the dimensions of your blocks? 2x4 and 2x2?

  3. I like the mix of black and white - it does look "meant to be". We are also being teased with promises of cooler weather the first few days of August - but first we have to get through these last 4 days of July!

  4. I love it! Can’t wait to see all the blocks laid out. Today is supposed to be our hottest day this week too….up to 100 with heat index higher. We are in Charleston SC. Someone was contemplating a visit to our area in August and asked if that was a good time to visit. They got this response: “Have you ever been cremated?” The weather service is showing rain everyday (after today) for the next week. I think that’s just a tease. We haven’t had rain in weeks.

  5. All sorts of heat warnings here, too. Humidity makes it even worse. I actually looked longingly at the sweatshirts in my closet this morning (gasp). LOVE the way this quilt top is coming together.

  7. That arraignment looks good. Here they are saying maybe high 80's late in the week - that is better than mid 90's

  8. Your magic touch is showing again… I really like this quilt ! The weather report’s are always more correct on my iPad than the meteorologist's on t.v. Wishing you cooler and way lower humidity days ahead.

  9. Perfection! You've done it again.
We are in brutal heat, as usual for this time of the year. We did have a wonderful rain on Saturday!
